Academic success and financially success is very different.
Financial success needs more than just academic
1. Self Learning habit.
2. Basic knowledge of every area and field.
3. Emotional endurance.
4. Rational thinking. The ability to make decisions by fully analyzing the situation and consequences and not by impulsive behaviour.
5. Financial knowledge.
6. High risk appetite.
7. Communication skills
8. People management
9. self control
Some toppers do achieve extra ordinarily in life. But why do many toppers don’t??
I think the big reason is point 6. Their lack of high risk taking .
Why do toppers become topper in the first place ?? Do they don’t know that being topper doesn’t matter in long run??
Actually, they know everything.
But as i said , They were motivated to become topper so that they can live happy and safe life afterwards with goodjob and life. some also do for proving their worth and excellence. That is also a good thing. These are do people who also take risks later .
Majority of toppers in india are from middle class family. They were inspired to do better to live a good life.
But financial success requires many years of grinding and risk taking .Like starting a business or. making startup successful.
Can you imagine woking so hard till graduation and then again taking 4–5 years of risk ?? . And what if startup or business fails??.
Now there are many people who were academically best .They do take the risk and perform well too. But the numbers are still less.
Some toppers also believe in first taking work experience in many startups as a job. Then after understanding startups and work they may take risk to start their own.
But you know what?? Startups and business support more to indian economy than jobs.
If you are working for google,apple,facebook,microsoft, tesla etc , you are contributing towards the economy of america and not your own country.
Why US is so successful??
US- world leaders and entrepreneurs.
Indians — Best skilled professionals
China- best skilles workers and manufacturers with high speed. (manufacturing hub).
This maybe changing.
US has very less population but it is still very successful country.
